I spent years chasing self-awareness, searching for inner peace and spiritual clarity. Along the way, I experienced many disappointments and heartbreaks. Eventually, I came to understand that in order to live in peace—first with yourself, and then with the world around you—you need something that grounds you, something that gives you structure and inner coherence.
I once watched the movie Jesus of Nazareth, and what struck me deeply was the love, harmony, and respect the Jewish people had back then toward God and one another. There were no vulgarities, no obscenities, no women portrayed as objects, but rather mutual respect, dignity, and a collective sense of purpose. They had something to live by—something that gave them identity and direction, which they followed with commitment until the end. Yes, they also had some elements I now find unnecessary—ritual circumcision, burning whole animals—and they suffered under the Roman Empire, which lived by a very different ethical code. But still, they were rooted in something meaningful.
Through all my searching, I realized that opening the mind frees you, but at some point, you hit a wall. You re-evaluate everything, and sometimes you feel like a fool for having followed the wrong path. But when that moment comes—and you feel drawn to the life of the people who lived simply and authentically—you see the power that one real human being can hold in a broken world. A person with no desire for fame, wealth, or power, who came with a single purpose: to awaken love and light.
Yes, the story of Jesus may sound mythical to some, but it carries a truth that moves the soul. It inspires people to love, to heal, and to seek the divine within themselves. Even though I once walked away from religion with anger and disillusionment, even breaking icons and feeling betrayed, over time, I found myself returning—but not to the religion. I returned to Him.
The institutional Church created figures like the Devil to maintain control and fear. A symbol that never existed, but that served to chain the human spirit to guilt. They also removed entire scriptures—the Gnostic Gospels—which reveal the inner, mystical, and liberating teachings of Jesus. When I ask Christians or priests why these aren't in the Bible, the answer is always the same: "They were heretical." But the truth is, they were dangerous only to systems that feared inner freedom.
What if Jesus had never come when he did? What if He came now, in 2025? In a world that had never heard of Him before? I believe that, if He chose this moment, He wouldn't act the same way. He would adapt to the consciousness of this era, using different tools but carrying the same eternal message.
And maybe He doesn't need to return physically at all. Maybe He is already here, present in the hearts of those who recognize Him not by dogma but by feeling. Still, a part of me longs to see Him with my human eyes—to feel His energy, to hear His voice, to be near Him. Not as a worshipper, but as a child longing for a loving parent.
Sometimes, strange fears arise in me, like a deep irrational fear of locusts. It makes me wonder: Was I once present during the plagues of Egypt? Did I live in those times? Could I have been one of His disciples in another life? Once, a spiritual astrologer told me that in a past life, I tried to speak truth but wasn’t heard. That resonates. Perhaps that’s why I connect so deeply with Jesus—because He too wasn’t fully heard.
His teachings were misunderstood by many because they were not for the intellect but for the soul. He spoke in parables because truth cannot be forced into narrow minds. The ones who heard Him, felt Him first. They didn’t analyze; they recognized.
Now I realize that Jesus stands beyond religion. He is the light that enters silently, asking nothing but offering everything. He waits to be felt, not preached. And I, after all my struggles, my doubts, my mistakes, return to Him not with guilt, but with longing.
This is the Jesus I was never taught.
This is the Jesus I found on my own.
And perhaps, this is the Jesus the world still needs to meet.
